New school building commissioned in Turkan settlement

School 256 named after Nizami Sarkhanov was commissioned on December 30 in Turkan settlement, Azizbeyov district.

Teachers and pupils in front of the school gave warm welcome to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.

Director Vasif Mammadov said school building foundation of which was laid in May 2006 by President has been built in frame of `New school to new Azerbaijan` Program of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The 2-floor school has 15 classrooms, subject rooms, computer room, library and gym.

President Aliyev viewed corners at the first floor of the schools on `State symbols of Azerbaijan`, activities of great leader and President Ilham Aliyev, photos on cornerstone laying ceremony, previous and current states of the area, toured classrooms, subject cabinets, labor, medical, computer rooms. He was informed Heydar Aliyev Foundation supplied computer set to the school with access to Internet. The school possesses football, basketball, volleyball grounds.

President of Azerbaijan congratulated teachers and pupils of school: You probably remember, we together laid foundation of school this May. Nice school has been built now and children should study well. I remember previous state of old school here. There is now highest circumstance here for good education of children. The main is that children should study well. There is computer room, nice sport grounds, light and wide classrooms. Good conditions have been created for both teachers and children. I congratulate you on commissioning of school and coming holidays.
