President Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of the new building of a secondary school in Bahmatli village of Zagatala
On August 17, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of the new building of a secondary school in Bahmatli village of Zagatala named after Aladdin Javadov built with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing the inauguration.
It was informed that the old building of the school had been demolished as it had been damaged and become unfit for use after the strong earthquake occurred on 7 May 2012. On 9th September of the same year, the foundation of the school was laid, and construction works were completed in August of this year.
Buildings of the school designed for 600 pupils are two- and three-storied. Total area of the school constructed in a modern style and on the basis of a special design is 4520 square meters. A monument was erected to national leader Heydar Aliyev in the schoolyard. The schoolyard was expanded and improved.
The building of the school, in which 480 pupils will study, is capable to withstand a 9-point earthquake. A photo-stand reflecting the care and attention shown by Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva has been created in the foyer of the school. The building has been supplied with a state-of-the-art air conditioning system. All necessary conditions have been created in classrooms, laboratories and other rooms of various purposes.
President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the information technology room. All computers here have been linked with Internet. All necessary conditions have been created in the assembly hall of the school to hold various events. Laboratories have been supplied with necessary equipment for pupils to apply their theoretical knowledge in a laboratory.
A state-of-the-art sport hall has been created at the school. Over three thousand books have been collected in the library. Greenery has been planted in the schoolyard. The school has open football, volleyball and basketball pitches.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude for the works done and wished successes to the school team.
