Inauguration of a nursery-kindergarten and a new school building takes place in Shamakhy

On March 19th, inauguration of a nursery-kindergarten in Sabir settlement and a new education establishment in Ovchulu village, constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, took place.

The nursery-kindergarten in Sabir settlement has been in operation since 1970. The preschool education institution had been located in a residential building adapted to a kindergarten, constructed in 1968. The building had worn out during the past years, becoming useless.

A new building was constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the nursery-kindergarten. Meant for 160 children, the kindergarten has sleeping and play rooms, sports and music halls, a medical aid room, and other administrative and technical rooms. The preschool education establishment has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment. Reconstruction and greenery-planting works were performed in the backyard of the kindergarten, and child entertainment facilities and summer houses for groups were installed.

The new building constructed for the secondary school named after Babajan Aliyev, a martyr of the First Karabakh War, in Ovchulu village was a beautiful gift for school children.

The village school has operated in a building constructed for 200 pupils in 1975. The school building had worn out physically, becoming useless. For this reason, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation constructed a new school building for 280 pupils. In a modern architectural style, two-storied, the 5-building school has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, with subject rooms and laboratories being equipped with visual aids. The new education establishment has 14 classrooms, laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, informatics, military training and medical aid rooms, labour training rooms for girls and boys, an assembly hall, a sports hall, and an open-air sports ground. Improvement and greenery-planting works were performed in the backyard of the school.
