A school building constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Azadgaragoyunlu village of Tartar is commissioned

As the building of the Secondary School named after Shukur Rahimov constructed in Azadgaragoyunlu village of Tartar district in 1979 did not meet up-to-date standards, construction of a new building was realized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The school meant for 320 pupils was commissioned on September 15.

The school’s inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Garabagh Regional Education Department and Tartar district Executive Authority, as well as teaching staff and pupils of the school, and villagers. Martyrs who fell for the territorial integrity of our republic were remembered by a minute of silence.

Speaking at the event, representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Elvin Aslanov, department chief of the Ministry of Science and Education Sabuhi Mahmudov, head of the tartar district Executive Authority Mustagim Mammadov, MP Sahib Aliyev congratulated teachers, pupils and parents on the commencement of the new academic year and commissioning of the new education institution, and talked about the social and economic development in the country and in the district, successes achieved in education, and systematic actions taken by President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva in this field.

Speaking at the event, the school’s principal Yegane Mehtiyeva, 10^th form student Sevinj Mammadli,  aksakal of the village Arif Huseynov, veteran of war Sadig Abbasly expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva for the care and attention shown towards them.

It was brought to attention that works carried out within the programme “New School to New Azerbaijan” by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation aimed at successful implementation of the education strategy in the country, efficient management of this area, and securing significant achievements towards the advancement of education.

Those participating in the construction of the school were given honorary diplomas. Then, attendees of the event became acquainted with the facilities created in the school building. Necessary facilities were ensured in the three-storied education institution comprised of two buildings. All subject rooms and laboratories here have been provided with furniture and equipment, and visual aids. Improvement and greenery planting works were carried out in the backyard of the school, decorative bushes and trees planted, and an up-to-date illumination system was installed.
