The building of Narlyg village secondary school in Sabirabad district opens its doors to pupils on the Day of Knowledge

Constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the building of the Narlyg village Secondary School named after A. Samadov in Sabirabad district was commissioned on the Day of Knowledge.

 

As the school building constructed in the village in 1975 was unfit for use, construction of a new building was launched in the village by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation at the beginning of this year. The two-storied new school, comprised of 4 buildings, is meant for 300 pupils. Teachers and pupils will start the new academic year in a fully equipped new school, where all facilities have been created to ensure a quality education.

 

The school has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, and subject rooms and laboratories with visual aids. The school accommodates laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology meeting the latest standards, rooms for information technology, military training, labour training rooms for girls and boys, a library, a canteen, assembly and sports halls, and an outdoor sports ground. Improvement and greenery planting works were carried out on the school’s territory.

 

Representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Jamil Aliyev, head of the Sabirabad district Executive Authority Sirageddin Jabbarov, representative of the Ministry of Science and Education Elvin Rustamov, employees of the regional education department, and Latafat Samadova, the spouse of lieutenant of police Ahmadagha Samadov - the first martyr of the district, after whom the school is named - spoke at the event.

 

Works done by the state towards improving the education infrastructure were underscored in the speeches. It was noted that inauguration of 23 education institutions on the basis of the order of the Ministry of Science and Education and 19 based on the order of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation are expected. Inaugurations of 8 education institutions based on the order of the Ministry of Science and Education are planned to take place till the end of this year.
