The Heydar Aliyev Foundation commissions School No.3 named after V.Aliyev in Gakh town

In its activities, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has always paid attention to the sphere of education, making contribution to the advancement of education by implementing projects in this filed. The Foundation has provided its support also to construction of new schools and preschool institutions.

As Secondary School No.3 named after V.Aliyev in Gakh town was constructed in 1950, it had become unfit for operation. Works launched by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in January this year in connection with the construction of a new school building have already been completed, and the education institution was placed at the disposal of teachers and pupils for the new academic year.

Representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Education, officials of the Gakh District Executive Authority and the Sheki-Zagatala Regional Education Department, teaching staff and pupils of the school, as well as residents of the town attended the event held in connection with the school’s inauguration.

Three-storied, comprised of three buildings, the school is meant for 320 pupils. 14 classrooms, laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, rooms for information technology, military training and labour training, a library, a canteen, assembly and sports halls have been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, and equipped with visual aids. An outdoor sports ground was built at the education institution. Renovation and greenery planting works were carried out on the territory of the school.
