A new school building is commissioned in Vurghun settlement of Aghstafa

Another address of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s project “New School for New Azerbaijan” was Vurghun settlement of Aghstafa district. Newly constructed, Habil Azizov Secondary School was placed at the disposal of teachers and pupils.

The secondary school named after H.Azizov was constructed in 1972. The building had been worn out, therefore was unfit to ensure a quality education. Having considered this, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation launched construction of a new school building in March this year. Construction works have been completed. Meant for 420 pupils, the three-storied education institution is comprised of four buildings. Classrooms, laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, rooms for information technology, military training, labour training for girls and boys have been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, as well as with visual aids.

A rich library, a canteen, assembly and sports halls and an outdoor sports ground were placed at the disposal of teachers and pupils.
