On September 16, a school building - meant for 460 pupils - constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the Baghyrly village secondary school in Shamakhy district was commissioned. Representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Education and the Shamakhy District Executive Authority, teachers and pupils of the school, and villagers attended the event held on this occasion.
Speaking at the event, representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Shamil Azizov, head of the Department for Content Teaching and Assessment in Education of the Ministry of Science and Education Vafa Yagublu, head of the Shamakhy District Executive Authority Tahir Mammadov congratulated teachers and pupils on the commissioning of the school building, talking in detail about the state’s care shown towards the advancement of education in the country, strengthening the material and technical basis of secondary schools, construction of new education institutions, and projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in this sphere.
It was informed that the Baghyrly village Secondary School named after F. Shykhaliyev, which was constructed in 1988, had been worn out and fallen into disrepair during the previous period. Therefore, a decision was taken on constructing a new school building.
After the speeches, attendees of the event became familiar with the conveniences created in the school building. 433 pupils are expected to be educated during the school year 2024-2025 in the school.
Constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, this three-storied school, comprised of two buildings, accommodates 21 classrooms, laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, rooms for informatics, military training and a first aid rooms, a room for labour training, a wardrobe, a library, a canteen, assembly and sports halls, and an outdoor sports ground.
Renovation and greenery planting works were performed in the backyard of the school.
