President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva visits special boarding school 1 for orphans and children deprived of parental care in Mashtagha settlement of Sabunchu district

On February 3, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva visited special boarding school 1 for orphans and children deprived of parental care in Mashtagha settlement of Sabunchu district. Distinguished guest was welcomed here with respect.

Consisting of two training and one hostel buildings, school is now being repaired due to the funds provided within the European Union`s assistance program. Director of the school Zaur Gouliyev noted that repair works in school with 204 pupils and 60 teachers will be completed till May of this year. However there are problems with the school`s heating system, and equipping.

President of the Foundation was acquainted with the training building, where she viewed dining room, kitchen, classrooms, and promised to provide assistance in equipping the school.
