President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva was familiarized with construction of the school in Tengerud village of Astara district

President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO Mehriban Aliyeva was familiarized on September 8 in frame of the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the southern region with construction of the school in Tengerud village of Astara district.

Teachers and parents, warmly welcoming Mrs Aliyeva, gave her detailed information on the school. It was informed that this school, possessing good traditions, has not been repaired for decades. Expressing deep satisfaction of the construction of the new building that will consist of 16 classrooms by initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, residents thanked Mrs Aliyeva. Constructors promised to commission the building till October 1 this year.

Mehriban Aliyeva reminded construction of 132 schools by initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation within the program `New school to renewing Azerbaijan` as the sign of care and attention to the children, future of our country, and said the Foundation has made a wider program considering construction of more 500 schools by the next year.

Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO sincerely talked to villagers, was taken picture with them for memory.
