Psycho-Neurological Children’s Home in Narimanov district of the capital inaugurated after reconstruction
4 May, Psycho-Neurological Children`s Home in Narimanov district, Baku was opened after reconstruction.
President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the opening ceremony.
Mehriban Aliyeva was presented flowers.
The President and his spouse saw photos showing previous look of the Home and construction.
The President and First Lady cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Children`s Home and familiarized themselves with it.
They were informed previous building of the Home that is the only in the republic did not meet modern standards, conditions in the institution covering about 1000 sq.m, consisted of 2-floor building were not suitable for training of children. The Psycho-Neurological Children`s Home was assured with new building meeting modern standards after President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Home, studied medical rehabilitation and education process, gave instructions to solve existing problems. Project of the building was approved last May and construction started. The 5-floor new building within 4800 sq.m was launched after a year. The building was constructed by Ilandag Company on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Construction of Down Center is scheduled for future.
Draft of the center was presented to President Ilham Aliyev.
Building materials and devices brought from foreign countries were used in construction. Reconstruction works were done in the yard of the building constructed in national architectural style, every circumstance for children and employees created, fountain complex built, greening set within 2000 sq.m.
In the lobby there is stand of portrait of national leader Heydar Aliyev and his pictures taken with children in different events, also photos of President Ilham Aliyev and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva with children.
First floor of the Home includes psychiatrist, aromatherapy, oculist, psychoneurologist, small manipulation, neuropathologist-speech therapist, pediatrician, otolaringologist, ultrasound checkup, physiotherapy rooms and reception.
Floor of the physiotherapy treatment-sport hall that is covered with material made on high tech has been equipped with basketball boards, football gates, game set, bicycles, slippery and gymnastic elements. Library contains CDs of tales, books, educational supplies. Room for autism-affected children is equipped with toys. 80-people conference hall has been supplied with modern seats, projector. Special bed-dressers were installed in the newborn section.
Second floor is equipped with accessories for children with functional defect, therapy hall supplied with all conditions. TV set with access to the centralized program is of big importance to use visual training methods in children.
Third floor includes bathroom for adult children with functional defect. Active therapy hall has every facility, including special plants and game elements. Water therapy room includes massage bathes and showers.
Ground floor is designed for food storage and fridges. Kitchen devices were renovated, diner for children with functional defect equipped with special chairs.
Exterior and interior of the building is permanently controlled via observation plant of 90 devices that automatically record and save everything.
Children aged under 7 suffering from epilepsy, hydrocephaly, microcephaly, child cerebral paralysis, spinal cord growth and other diseases are treated in the building equipped with central heat and ventilation system. 95-person medical, pedagogical and technical personnel deals with their treatment and education.
On behalf of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva donated a bus to the Children`s Home.
