Russian press covers successful results of the 2nd International Music Festival in Gabala

Though the 2nd International Music Festival in Gabala, the year’s most important culture event in Azerbaijan held due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, has ended, participants and viewers seem for long to be under its rich impressions. Despite a week has passed since the Festival was closed, its successful results are still covered on the global press.


These days, influential news agencies and mass media of Russia present materials on the Festival. The last issues of Izvestiya and Nezavisimaya gazeta newspapers posted articles dedicated to the event.

 

Valeri Grinberg, the correspondent of Izvestiya newspaper, emphasizes a lovely nature of Gabala, its history and people, calling a fresh air here ‘oxygen cocktail’. The correspondent talks of Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative, professional organization and great opening ceremony. He writes during the 2-week event world-famous musicians skillfully performed Azeri and world classic music.

 

According to Grinberg, Yuri Bashmet compared Gabala Festival with Austria’s Salzburg and Switzerland’s Verbier festivals. Sharing his impressions of Baku, the journalist mentions huge construction works underway in Baku. Talking about a rich cuisine of Azerbaijan, he writes: ‘In no other country meat is fried as deliciously as it is done in Azerbaijan’.
