Programme on mutual visits of Azerbaijani and Georgian teenagers deprived of parental care and distinguished in education ends

Mutual visits of Azerbaijani and Georgian teenagers deprived of parental care and distinguished in education were organized September 1-10 in frame of the cultural programme on the initiative of Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and Sandra Elizabeth Roelofs, First Lady of Georgia.

 

20-member Georgian delegation was welcomed on September 1 in Baku. The guests visited the Alley of Martyrs and Alley of Honor first.

 

Following the meeting at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, they saw historic and cultural places, sights, as well as the Old City, Qala Archeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex, Gobustan, Modern Art Museum and summer camp of Orphanage No.1.

 

The delegation visited Gabala, Sheki and Ismayilly regions, was familiarized with the nature and life here, saw the historic places.

Trip of Azeri teenagers to Georgia started in Tbilisi where they visited national leader Heydar Aliyev’s monument and the Embassy of Azerbaijan. The 20-member delegation was received by First Lady of Georgia Sandra Elizabeth Roelofs.

 

Children saw sights in the capital, visited the national and ethnographic museums, travelled to ancient town Signagi, also Batumi, Gori, Kutaisi, Likani, were acquainted with ancient temples complex Vardziya, botanic garden, zoo, new boulevard in Batumi.


The programme ended September 10.
