Postage stamps reflecting the emblem of Heydar Aliyev Foundation issued in the Netherlands

There is a close cooperation between Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which plays a special role in assuring awareness of Europe on Azerbaijani realities, and Amsterdam-based Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress (BAC) that takes an exceptional part in comprehensively informing the Dutch citizens about Azerbaijan. The cornerstone of this cooperation was laid by the Foundation’s providing textbooks and school supplies and rendering care to the weekend schools opened in Amsterdam and Rotterdam to ensure education of Azerbaijani children in Holland in the native language. Besides, the Foundation has provided BAC with books, manuals and other supplies on the realities of Azerbaijan, the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Daghlig Garabagh conflict, Khojaly genocide. In reply to this concern by the Foundation, postage stamps reflecting the emblem of Heydar Aliyev Foundation have been issued in the Netherlands at the initiative and suggestion of BAC Honor Chairman Sahil Gasymov. The stamps have officially been put into circulation by the communication ministry of the country upon the order of the Congress. The stamps reflect the emblem and words of ‘Heydar Aliyev Foundation’ in English. Unlike stamps costing 0,44 cent in the Kingdom of Netherlands and 0,77 cent in EU, the stamp reflecting the emblem of Heydar Aliyev Foundation totals 1 EUR. This estimation contributes to the circulation of the stamps, which have been designed to be stuck on envelopes, in all the European countries.

The Azerbaijan Embassy in the Netherlands gave some recommendations related to the issue of the stamp that will soon be presented.
