The 87th birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev marked in Romania

Ceremony on the 87th birthday of national leader of Azeri people Heydar Aliyev was held May 10 in Bucharest, Romania.

Held in the Heydar Aliyev Park the event brought together employees of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Bucharest, representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and SOCAR offices in the country, members of the Azerbaijani, Romanian, Tatar and Turkish communities, Romania-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, Romania-Azerbaijan Trade Chamber, Azerbaijan-Romania Youth and Culture Association.

Speakers in the event, briefed the participants on the national leader`s lifetime and activity, his difficult and honest life dedicated to his nation’s sovereignty, independence and progress. They stressed the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Romania was founded by the national leader.

The attendees laid a wreath and flowers at the bust of Heydar Aliyev.

Photo exhibition on life and activities of Heydar Aliyev was organized and a documentary dedicated to the national leader was shown at the Representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Bucharest.
