President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva visits children homes
Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, and her daughter Arzu visited several children homes, February 14.
Residents of Children Home 3 in Khatai district warmly welcomed the distinguished guests.
In the lobby of the first floor there were pictures showing meetings national leader Heydar Aliyev and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva held with children of the Home in different times.
Director of the Home Zohra Huseynova informed the Children Home, which has been operating for 70 years, includes 100 children, 8 trainers, 2 labor teachers, 1 psychiatrist, 4 nurses, 2 circle leaders and 1 music teacher.
Children study at the Secondary School 29 next to the Home, trade schools and colleges. Besides, experienced teachers educate them at the Children Home in base of special programme. There are English and computer courses. Some of the 9th form pupils of the Secondary School will submit documents to the colleges to continue education. Those studying better are getting ready for entrance exams of higher schools.
M.Aliyeva was familiarized with facilities at the Home, took interest in problems. The Director mentioned there is need for reconstruction of Buzovna summer camp.
President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation gave instructions to study the issue, solve transport problem of the Children Home.
After that, children sang Azerbaijan`s national anthem and recited poems for the first lady.
Mehriban Aliyeva had her photo taken together with the children, said she would often come to see them.

The next meeting took place at Children Home 2 in Yeni Gunashli settlement in Surakhani district. It was completely reconstructed under the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s ‘Children Homes and Boarding Schools Development Program’.
Principal Sevda Hajiyeva informed the First Lady 140 children aged 3-16 are trained at the Home by about 20 pedagogues.
Mehriban Aliyeva took interest in circumstances of children.
Amateur group’s performance, poems said by children was highly appreciated. President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation saw handworks of children in the labor training room, as well logo of Heydar Aliyev Foundation they made of beads, familiarized herself with computer room, library and dance room.
Talking to little Aytaj the First Lady asked for her desires. Aytaj wanted a national Spanish dress in red. Mehriban Aliyeva promised she would send her a national Spanish costume the next day.
Children thanked M.Aliyeva for the computers she presented them.

Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, and her daughter Arzu were sincerely met at the Psycho-Neurological Children Home in Narimanov district.
Director of the Children Home Irada Musayeva informed there are 70 children in the Home who are looked after by 5 doctors and 11 nurses. The Children Home has been supplied with everything necessary and has no serious problem. She mentioned there are some difficulties that are solved during the year.
She expressed gratitude to Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Mehriban Aliyeva for concerning about the Children Home, sending gifts to children in all holidays. The last presents consisted of TV set, computer and other appliances.
Mehriban Aliyeva viewed the Children Home’s rooms to get familiar with the children’s conditions, took interest in checkup and treatment, quality of food, adoption issues. She said the Children Home will be reconstructed and a new building for it will be built soon.
