Ukrainian President donates school bus to Heydar Aliyev Foundation
On July 1, a school bus was donated on behalf of President of Ukraine Viktor Yuschenko to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which implements successful projects in field of education, in frame of the School Bus Project that is performed in Ukraine for already 5 years.
Greeting the Ukrainian visitors on behalf of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, Executive Director Anar Elekberov said established in memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev the Foundation realizes important projects in field of culture, education, science, health care, sport and other spheres.
He noted main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history.
Guests viewed the exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader reflecting separate eras of his activity, numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of genius person’s life and creating a detailed idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan.
Visitors saw also photos reflecting large-scale actions of prominent politician Heydar Aliyev in Moscow as one of leaders of USSR.
Then, Ukrainian visitors watched a documentary on activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The film talks about projects implemented under leadership of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Foundation which continues the national statehood ideas of the great leader. These projects are highly assessed in Azerbaijan and outside.
Presenting the bus key to the Foundation’s Executive Director Anar Elekberov on behalf of the President of Ukraine Ukrainian Ambassador to Baku Boris Klimchuk said this is the sign of support to projects Heydar Aliyev Foundation carries out in field of education.
The Ambassador was presented music album ‘Singers of Garabagh’ developed by Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Then, technical parameters of the school bus were shown in the Foundation’s yard. Produced by Japanese Company Isuzu the bus is of special significance for safe transportation of children and meets the European standards. Every seat of the bus has safety belt and button for accident. The specificity of the bus is the special ground which makes the bus available for disabled children too.
Expressing rich impression of familiarization with the Foundation Ambassador B.Klimchuk highly valued philanthropic activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its President, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva.
Talking of Azerbaijan-Ukraine relationship the Ambassador emphasized role and services of presidents of both countries in strengthening of friendly ties between the two states, adding these relations develop and deepen.
