Russia Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation organizes visit of children of the boarding school in St Petersburg to Azerbaijan

A group of children trained at the Boarding School 46 in St Petersburg and their teachers is paying a visit to Azerbaijan at the initiative of the Russia Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The visit has been organized upon mutual agreement reached by Leila Aliyeva, Head of the Foundation’s Russia Office, during her visit to St Petersburg with Valentina Matviyenko, Governor of the city. In that meeting L.Aliyeva talked of huge projects carried out in frame of the Children Homes and Boarding Schools Development Programme of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and invited representatives of one of the analogical children institutions of St Petersburg to Azerbaijan in summer holiday.

During 10-day visit the Russian visitors rest in newly repaired Children Home 1 in Nizami district, Baku and summer camp in Shuvalan settlement. Children have visited the Honor Alley, nice sites in Baku, including Icherisheher, Maiden Tower. They have seen the exposition reflecting life and actions of Heydar Aliyev at the Foundation named after the great leader, expressed gratitude for interesting trip.  

Children were also been in Surakhany, Yanardag, Ateshgah, were in detail informed of historical and cultural sites, familiarized with museums of history and carpet, carpets made in Azerilme, Mardakan Arboretum, House-Museum of Sergey Yesenin.

In frame of the visit to end August 27 the guests will be acquainted with cliff images in Gobustan, Pir Hasan Sanctuary, historical monuments in Mardakan, Ramana, Gala settlements and have a rest at Amburan Entertainment and Recreation Center.
