Delegation led by Ilker Bashbugh, Commander of Ground Troops of Turkey, Army General, visited on March 7 Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Sincerely welcoming the distinguished guest executive director of the Foundation Anar Elekberov informed of history of establishment and goals of the Foundation established in memory of the national leader of Azerbaijani people. It was stated main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history. For last 2 years nearly 200 modern schools were built and commissioned on initiative of the Foundation in all regions of the republic including the remotest villages, supplied with necessary equipment. The Foundation implemented also several projects in field of healthcare, science and culture, application of IT. President of the Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva is member of Milli Majlis, Goodwill Ambassador UNESCO and ISESCO.
Attentively viewing exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader reflecting separate eras of his actions, numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of genius person`s life and creating a wide idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan army general Ilker Bashbugh saw photos reflecting the periods outstanding political figure Heydar Aliyev functioned at intelligence services, as one of leaders of former USSR in Moscow, meetings he held with heads of state and government of Turkey, a model of territories BTC main export oil pipeline crosses. Paying special attention to the information on actions taken by great leader in field of national army building in Azerbaijan, creation of military schools Ilker Bashbug stressed the entire Turkish world is proud of Heydar Aliyev, noted monuments were set in his memory in Istanbul, Ceyhan, Igdir and Kars.
Guest signed the guest book of the Foundation, expressed his rich impressions of familiarization with the Foundation established in memory of prominent political figure Heydar Aliyev.
Commander of Ground Troops of Turkey was presented a book on activities of the Foundation and `Singers of Garabag` music album.
In his turn, the guest presented souvenirs to the Foundation.
Then, guests saw a film on the Foundation`s actions.
