President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation on May 3.

 

Sincerely greeting the distinguished guest Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse, President of the Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva expressed delight of seeing him at the Foundation named after constructor and architect of independent state of Azerbaijan, national leader Heydar Aliyev.

 

First, Presidents and Mrs Aliyeva saw a film on Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s establishment, goals, actions, projects and international relations.

 

Alexander Lukashenko highly appreciated the Foundation’s activity. 

 

President Ilham Aliyev familiarized his counterpart with the Foundation’s exposition.

 

Rich collection of photographs and other materials reflecting all periods of great leader Heydar Aliyev’s childhood and education years, period he worked in intelligence agencies, both phases of his leadership in the republic, his actions in Moscow aroused President Lukashenko’s great interest, who stressed a key role of this outstanding person, possessing great prestige as one of leaders of USSR, in safeguarding the state independence of Azerbaijan, and implementing economic reforms in the country.

 

President Ilham Aliyev also showed the guest a model of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil export pipeline, the top of the great leader’s oil strategy, bearing his name. He stressed the project has a great impact on geopolitical situation in not only this region but also the whole world.

 

Belarus President saw photos reflecting meetings of national leader Heydar Aliyev with influential politicians of the world, state and government leaders, monuments set for him in different countries.

 

President Lukashenko signed the Foundation’s guestbook, honored blessed memory of the prominent politician and expressed his rich impressions of familiarization with the Foundation.

 

President of the Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva presented the distinguished guest with a keepsake.
