Speaker of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Mironov visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Speaker of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Mironov visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on March 28.

Executive Director of the Foundation Anar Alakbarov informed the guest of the history and objectives of the Foundation established in memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Attentively seeing exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader reflecting separate eras of his activity, numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of genius person`s life and creating a wide idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan Sergey Mironov took special interest in photo stands reflecting wide activities of great leader Heydar Aliyev in Moscow as one of leaders of former USSR, memorial medal he was awarded for successfully managing construction of Baikal-Amur Railroad (BAR), one of giant constructions of last century, passenger card No 1 of BAR, model of territory BTC main export oil pipeline crosses.

Russian guest said he personally knew prominent statesman Heydar Aliyev, admired his intellect, noted this genius person is always honored with deep respect in former Union, in Russia in particular.

Speaker of upper chamber of Russian parliament was informed main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history. The Foundation also carries out wide-scale projects, gives contribution to realization of desires of the outstanding figure of politics.

S. Mironov signed Guest Book of the Foundation, expressed his rich impressions of familiarization with the Foundation founded in memory of prominent political figure Heydar Aliyev.

On behalf of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, a musical album "Karabakh khanendeleri (singers)" and a book on the Foundation`s activity was presented to S. Mironov.

Speaker of the Council of Federation presented his photograph taken with outstanding politician Heydar Aliyev and a souvenir to the Foundation.

S.Mironov was accompanied at the Foundation by first deputy chairman of Milli Majlis Ziyafet Asgarov.
