President of Poland Lech Kaczynski visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation

President of Poland Lech Kaczynski and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation on March 30.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed delight of seeing the head of state of Poland and his spouse at the Foundation named after national leader Heydar Aliyev, constructor and architect of independent state of Azerbaijan.

Azeri President familiarized the distinguished guest and his delegation with rich expositions of the Foundation.

Guests were deeply impressed by photos, records on childhood, youth and education years of the great leader, paintings he did, exhibits covering his activities at intelligence services, both eras of his leadership in the republic, also his activities in Moscow.

Lech Kaczynski, noting it is big courage that outstanding person possessing high prestige as one of leaders of former USSR makes a statement against the policy of the soviet leadership and resigns from the Soviet Union Communist Party, highly assessed the decisive role Heydar Aliyev played in protection of state independence of Azerbaijan and implementation of economic reforms that are base to this.

President Ilham Aliyev familiarized the President of Poland with a model of BTC main export oil pipeline, which is the fruit of intellect of the great leader and named after him, stressed this project has a huge impact on the geopolitical situation not in region only but all over Europe.

Lech Kaczynski saw photographs reflecting meetings of Heydar Aliyev with authoritative politicians of the world, state and government heads, monuments set in his memory all over the world.

President of Poland signed the guest book and expressed his rich impressions of acquaintance with the Foundation.

President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva presented a souvenir to the Polish President.
