Culture Minister of Lithuania Yonas Yuchas visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Culture minister of Lithuania Yonas Yuchas visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation, June 8.

The employee of the Foundation provided information on history, objectives and activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

It was noted main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history. For last 2 years nearly 200 schools were built and commissioned in all regions and remotest villages of the republic, supplied with necessary appliances on the initiative of the Foundation. The Foundation has also performed several projects in field of healthcare, development of science, culture, application of IT. Closely cooperating with international organizations Heydar Aliyev Foundation has purchased 5000 various textbooks, scientific and literary literature, published in Russia and other European countries, and distributed to the higher schools of the republic.

Yonas Yuchas saw the museum of the Foundation. Attentively viewing the exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader reflecting separate eras of his activity, numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of genius person’s life and creating a detailed idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, the Lithuanian visitor said working in Moscow as the first deputy chairman of USSR Ministers Soviet prominent political figure Heydar Aliyev helped economic development of Baltic countries, noted his name and personality is deeply respected in his country.

Culture minister of Lithuania signed Guest Book of the Foundation, expressed rich impression of familiarization with the Foundation named after outstanding political figure Heydar Aliyev.

Yonas Yuchas was presented with a book on the activities of the Foundation on behalf of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO.
