Entrance exams of Azerbaijani graduates to the higher schools of Russia held at All-Russian Azerbaijan Congress

Entrance exams were held on July 18 at the building of All-Russian Azerbaijan Congress (ARAC) in Moscow for Azerbaijani citizens living in Russia and having graduated from the Russian schools.


Upon the bilateral agreement Education Ministry of Russia sets a norm for entrance of Azerbaijani graduates to its higher schools and Education Ministry of Azerbaijan allocates some of these places to Azerbaijani citizens, irrespective of nationality, living in Russia because of certain reasons and getting school-leaving certificate there.

 

This year, ARAC for the first time organized the entrance exams along with the office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the Russian Federation. In the official part held prior to the exams, spokeswoman of Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the Russian Federation Mrs Leila Aliyeva, chairman of ARAC Education Committee Tofig Melikli, deputy chairman Khumar Aliyeva, executive director of the Congress Eldar Guliyev, parents of graduates delivered speeches.

 

Congratulating the compatriots partaking in the entrance exams L.Aliyeva wished them success and expressed confidence they all will successfully pass the exams. Leila Aliyeva said: ‘We – the youth studying and working in Russia should decently represent and popularize Azerbaijan. Heydar Aliyev Foundation pays great attention to education. For 3 years of its establishment the Foundation initiated construction and reconstruction of nearly 190 schools in Azerbaijan. The Foundation builds schools and supports education all over the world, including Pakistan, Russia, Turkey, Romania. The Foundation’s Office operates in Russia too. We will do many works in all fields and I think have great successes.’

 

Tofig Melikli, Khumar Aliyeva and Eldar Guliyev expressed gratitude to spokeswoman of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leila Aliyeva, Azeri and Russian governments for organizing the entrance exams. Members of diaspora evaluated the exams as an eminent event for all Azeris living in Russia that will let our compatriots to study at leading public higher schools of Russia.

 

Parents of graduates expressed thanks to the state of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev, Heydar Aliyev Foundation, ARAC and education ministries of both countries for providing an opportunity to their children to continue their education in Russia.

 

After a solemn part, Leila Aliyeva unfolded the envelope containing test tasks.

 

This year, 26 people having successfully graduated from secondary schools in different regions of Russia, some with golden and silver medals, took an exam. For last years, 30 Azeri students get education in Russia in frame of this system.

 

Then, L.Aliyeva met with members of ARAC Education Committee. They informed her in detail of action and achievements of the Committee.
