Rector of Moscow State University, President of Eurasian Universities Association academician Victor Sadovnichi visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Rector of Moscow State University, President of Eurasian Universities Association, academician Victor Sadovnichi visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation, May 24.

Sincerely welcoming the guest executive director of the Foundation Anar Elekberov provided information on history, objectives and activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

He noted main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history.

On the initiative of the Foundation 200 schools meeting modern standards were built and commissioned for last 2 years in all regions of the republic, including remotest villages, supplied with required appliances. In addition, the Foundation has performed several projects in field of science, health, culture, application of IT. Firmly cooperating with international organizations the Foundation has purchased 5000 textbooks, scientific and literary literature published in Russia and distributed to high schools of the republic. 

Then, Victor Sadovnichi and accompanying persons saw Heydar Aliyev Museum. The Russian visitor, attentively viewing the exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader reflecting separate eras of his activity, numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of genius person’s life and creating a detailed idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, noticed Heydar Aliyev got only ‘excellent’ at secondary and high schools. He emphasized while working first deputy chairman of USSR Ministers Soviet the national leader rendered big support to development of logistics of high schools, special care and attention to MSU, the body of which deeply respects both Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev. 

Academician Victor Sadovnichi said he has met for many times with famous statesman Heydar Aliyev and admired intellect and personality of this genius person, expressed his deep respect for him. 

V.Sadovnichi signed the honor book of the Foundation, expressed rich impression of familiarization with the Foundation established in the memory of outstanding political figure Heydar Aliyev.

Academician Victor Sadovnichi was presented ‘Singers of Garabag’ music album, project of the Foundation, on behalf of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, and book on actions of the Foundation in 2004-07.

Victor Sadovnichi presented the first book by great philosopher Mikhail Lomonosov on Russian language grammar, published in 1775 in St Petersburg, and a handmade souvenir by Russian masters to the Foundation.

Rector of Baku State University, MP, academician Abel Maharramov and The University’s vice-rector for international relations, professor Nargiz Pashayeva accompanied the guest.
