A new building for Secondary School No. 218 in Bina settlement of Azizbeyov district was launched

New building for Secondary School 218 named after Reshid Bakhyshov in Bina settlement of Azizbeyov district was opened on September 15, Day of Knowledge.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony organized on this occasion. Distinguished guests were warmly met by the body of the School.

Pupils attending to the School built in 1978 received incomplete education so far. From this year the School will provide complete secondary education. Cornerstone of the School, built according to the Action Plan on acceleration of socio-economic development of Baku settlements and in frame of the New School to New Azerbaijan Programme of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, was laid on June 15, 2006 by President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.

President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing opening of the School and was familiarized with that. He was informed the 3-storey nice building meeting the modern standards seats 1176 pupils, has 51 classrooms, 8 labs and mini football ground in the yard.

Stands ‘Education is future of the nation’, ‘Heydar Aliyev Foundation’ in the lobby contain photos reflecting attention paid by the great leader and President Ilham Aliyev to education and young generation.

President Ilham Aliyev and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva were familiarized with primary classrooms, gym and library, conference room. The library includes over 3000 literature and nearly 5000 textbooks. All 20 computers in the computer room have access to Internet. 80-seat diner meeting the very modern standards is available.

Expressing satisfaction of conditions created President of Azerbaijan valued that as an obvious sign of care towards children that are future of our nation.
