New schools opened in Balakan and Lerik within the new school to new Azerbaijan Programme

Within the New School to New Azerbaijan Programme realized by initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation a special attention is paid to construction of new schools meeting international standards in a number of regions of the republic, their supply with modern equipment, important works are done to fundamentally repair some old schools.

State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) takes important actions in frame of this programme. Several schools built due to funds of the Company were launched in the new school year, President of the Company Rovnag Abdullayev and reps of the Company visited Balakan and Lerik districts on this occasion.

On September 15, the 450-seat and 120-seat secondary schools in respectively Ititala and Rochahmad villages of Balakan district were opened. R.Abdullayev said SOCAR would further make contribution to the New School to New Azerbaijan Programme. 

Then, reps of SOCAR arrived in Gazma village, visited the secondary school. President of the Company was familiarized with works done at the School, listened to desires and proposals of teachers and parents. Villagers expressed gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, for care for education.

On September 17, ceremony was held to launch Secondary School 3 named after Malik Bakhyshov in Lerik district built due to funds of OSCAR within the New School to New Azerbaijan Programme realized by initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. 

The ribbon symbolizing the opening of the 3-floor and 500-seat building meeting the modern standards was cut. Addressing the ceremony of opening of the school and starting the new school year President of SOCAR R.Abdullayev talked of educational reforms implemented at the moment under direct leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, underlined importance of the New School to New Azerbaijan Programme realized by initiative of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Speakers stressed new modern schools are built and opened in regions upon the State Programme signed by President Ilham Aliyev and this campaign promotes development of education. On behalf of Lerik district public they expressed thanks to President Ilham Aliyev and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva for care for education.
