Representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was opened in Bucharest

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Romania Traian Basescu together with their spouses attended the opening ceremony of the representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Bucharest, 24 September.


Azerbaijani Ilham Aliyev was informed that after the documents concerning opening of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s office in Romania were signed by the Romania Research Agency, Romanian Academy’s Presidium, ministries of health, foreign affairs, justice, culture and education, and deputy Prime Minister, and also was discussed at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. Finally, it was endorsed by publication in the official public bulletin of Romania and decision of the Supreme Court of Romania.


Country public backed the Representation’s humanitarian activity, for instance, one of the elderly house is under protection of the Representation. As was informed, the Representation’s building located in the center of Romanian capital is architectural monument built in the early XX century.


The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Romania cut the red ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Representation.


The Presidents were familiarized with the Foundation’s Office and signed the Honorary Guests Book.


Then, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Romania Traian Basescu planted a tree in the yard of Representation.


Dian Babescu, head of medical center Renomed Form handed over to the Azerbaijani President the copy of decision on naming after Heydar Aliyev the Dialysis and Neurology Clinic that operates within that center in Krayova city of Romania.
