9th President of Turkey Suleiman Demirel visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation
9th President of Turkey Suleiman Demirel visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation, November 18.
Getting familiarized with rich exhibitions the distinguished guest was informed of goals of the Foundation created in memory of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev. It was noted main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history.
9th President of Turkey was impressed by exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader reflecting separate eras of his activity. He was familiarized with numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of genius person’s life and creating a detailed idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, gifts presented by popular politicians of the world, books on the national leader, views said by world-famous figures of politics, science, culture and art, heads of state and government on the architect and constructor of the independent state of Azerbaijan, saw their photos taken with the national leader in different meetings.
The guest was impressed by meetings the outstanding statesman held with Turkish leaders and the guest himself, photos taken.
Suleiman Demirel signed the Guest Book: ‘Valued President of Azerbaijan, one of star leaders of Turkish world, great son of Turk, my dear friend and brother, the late Heydar Aliyev’s museum is a great sign of gratefulness of Azeri people. I was much glad. I believe that great statesman will live till eternity. His memory is in deep heart of Turkish nation. I honor his memory. God rest him in peace. Rest in peace, my dear brother. Your beautiful country and all the Turkish world love and respect you.’.
S.Demirel was presented gift on behalf of President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva.
Outstanding politician viewed Baku from the Foundation’s balcony.
S.Demirel said in interview to newsman of AzerTAg ‘I visited grave of the valued President, my dear brother, great statesman, one of star leaders of Turkish world Heydar Aliyev. I was very happy, because I am aware of gratefulness of Azeri people. I am charmed by huge services this great man rendered to Azeri and Turkish nations. The late Heydar Aliyev will exist till eternity in heart of Turkish world. I faithfully honor him. He is great sample to people. I wish happiness to the people of Azerbaijan and eternal existence to the state of Azerbaijan.’
