Heydar Aliyev Foundation gives a present to the Azeri school in Holland

Heydar Aliyev Foundation renders special care for education in the country and implements different projects to develop its logistics. President of the Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva renders multilateral help to Azerbaijan schools opened outside the country. A present consisted of a set of computer and school supplies the Foundation sent to the Azeri School opened in September in Amsterdam, Holland, at the initiative of Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress (BAC) is an obvious example to this.

Prior to the ceremony of presentation of the Foundation’s present, a national anthem of Azerbaijan was played at the School.

Opening the ceremony chairman of BAC Sahil Gasymov greeted pupils and guests, said ‘President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva has not forgotten Azeri children living in Holland and made them happy with gifts. It is very nice that these presents have been sent from Azerbaijan. On behalf of the Congress I express my gratitude to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva’.

Azeri Ambassador to Holland Fuad Isgandarov congratulated pupils on the new school year, noted ‘Like in Azerbaijan, here also you attend the school in our native language, take your steps in learning our traditions, history and literature, make efforts to study bases of knowledge’.

‘Today, I have come to the meeting with you with presents of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva who does not forget education of Azerbaijani pupils living outside Azerbaijan. These presents were given to thousands of our children in our country going to the school for the first time. This is the beginning of a nice tradition that Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s presents are given to Azeri children not in Azerbaijan only but also in Amsterdam, one of European capitals. With great pride I am giving these presents to you on behalf of President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva. I hope the number of pupils of the School that is attended today by 15 children will be greater in several years’, the Ambassador said.

The Ambassador presented gifts of Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the pupils.

Sima Babayeva, teaching the Azerbaijani language at the School, highly valued care and attention of Mehriban Aliyeva and noted generous works of UNESCO’s Goodwill Ambassador are pattern to all Azeri women.

Executive director of BAC Elman Mustafazade expressed pride for learning of the state language of independent Azerbaijan abroad, highly evaluated practical help of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. ‘This care inspires us to more willingly propagate our culture and achievements of our country outside the homeland’ he said.
