Delegation led by Mayor of Bucharest Nekulay Ontsanu visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Mayor of Bucharest (Sector 2) Nekulay Ontsanu paying visit to Azerbaijan and his spouse Veronica Ontsanu as well as other members of the delegation visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation on August 7.

Visitors were widely informed of expositions on different times of life of national leader, photos taken with leaders of different countries, figures of science, culture and art, government and state heads of Romania. Documents on childhood of great leader, excellent marks he got in secondary and higher schools, his exemplary conduct, books written on him, web page of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, its international relations, projects it implements caused big interest of visitors.

Nekulay Ontsanu left warm words in the Guest Book of the Foundation, said there is deep respect towards Heydar Aliyev in Romania, highly appreciated Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s activity towards realization of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev`s ideas and wished every success in further activities to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Milli Majlis deputy, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.

Then, a meeting with mayor of Bucharest was held.

Executive director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov welcomed the delegation on behalf of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Milli Majlis deputy, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.

Nekulay Ontsanu said Mehriban Aliyeva was awarded the title Honorary Citizen of the sector 2 of Bucharest for her contributions to development of cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Romania, and presented the relevant document and badge as well as national costume of Romanian woman.

A. Alakbarov expressed gratitude to Mr Ontsanu for high value set to activity of Mrs Aliyeva and present, and presented to the Mayor the English-language book on Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s activity in 2005-2006 and musical album "Karabakh Khanendeleri" (Karabakh Singers).

The Mayor was accompanied by Siyavush Novruzov, executive secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party, Eldar Hasanov, ambassador of Azerbaijan to Romania and Nikolae Ureke, Romanian ambassador to Azerbaijan.
