President of Romania Trian Basescu visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation
President of Romania Trian Basescu visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation, October 12.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva sincerely met the President of Romania.
The Presidents and delegation members saw a documentary on activities and projects of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The Romanian visitors were impressed that the Foundation develops and carries out wide projects in field of science, education, medicine, culture, reconstruction of children homes and boarding schools, improving their material and technical base, rendering multilateral care to children deprived of parental care, helping the people suffering from diabetes and thalassemia, construction of new schools, teaching the invalid children to use IT, study and popularization of our rich culture, firm cooperation with international organizations, construction and commissioning of 190 schools meeting modern standards for last year and half on the initiative of the Foundation.
President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva informed the visitors on the objectives of the Foundation established as respect in memory of the national leader of Azerbaijani people. It was noted main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history.
President Ilham Aliyev gave detailed information about exhibits and photos taken from the archive of the great leader, covering different eras of his activity.
The President of Romania was acquainted with numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of genius person`s life and creating a wide idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, gifts presented to him by the popular political figures all over the world, photos taken with leaders of different countries, books on great leader, ideas of outstanding figures of science, culture and art on the national leader, saw with big interest photos taken with leaders of different countries.
President of Romania Trian Basescu signed the guest book, expressed deep respect to national leader Heydar Aliyev, wished success to the Foundation in the valuable activity towards progress of Azerbaijan.
President of the Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva presented souvenirs to the Romanian President.
Then, a sincere talk was held at the tea table.
President Ilham Aliyev presented the head of the friendly country a photo album on his official visit to Baku.
President Ilham Aliyev saw off President of Romania Trian Basescu, ending his official visit to Azerbaijan, in front of the Foundation`s building.
