New school opened in Degedi village of Astara district

The 240-seat school building constructed in frame of `New school to new Azerbaijan` Program of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Degedi village of Astara district was opened on December 4.

New modern school building built in mountainous area of the district within 4 months is the fifth education center built in Astara on initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Addressing the ceremony on this occasion deputy head of the district executive power body Natig Ibadov, head of education office Gyzbes Mammadova, school`s director Mehdi Mammadov and others expressed gratitude to the President of the country and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP, for care to development of education.

Pupils said the poems by Ibrahim Yanar, language and literary teacher at the school, poet, on the President of Azerbaijan and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva.

After the symbolic band was cut, visitors were familiarized with facilities at the new school.
