New school opened in Astara built on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

The 540-seat new school building was opened in Tengerud village of Astara district in frame of `New school to new Azerbaijan` program of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Heat and light systems of the school building constructed in short time by `Zirve-A` LTD. The school is supplied with new appliances.

Head of the district executive power Mahir Guliyev, manager of education office Gyzbes Mammadova, director of the school Tariyel Asgerov, the elderly, intellectuals and education employees, addressing the opening ceremony, recalled participation of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP, in 2005 during visit of the President of Azerbaijan to the southern region in the opening of the 240-seat education building constructed by the initiative of the Foundation for the school, noted construction of the school was started upon recommendation of the First Lady of Azerbaijan who got familiarization with the school. The new school building consisted of 27 classrooms was built here in 2 months.

Those addressing the ceremony expressed gratitude to the President of the republic and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the attention paid to development of education in regions and strengthening its material and technical basis.

The guests were acquainted with classrooms and conditions at the school after the symbolic red ribbon was cut.
