Participants of the Fourth Congress of CIS Oncologists and Radiologists visit Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Participants of the Fourth Congress of CIS Oncologists and Radiologists visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation, September 28.

Executive director of the Foundation Anar Alakbarov informed the visitors of the Foundation established as respect in memory of the national leader of Azerbaijani people. It was noted main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history.

Exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader reflecting separate eras of his activity left good impressions on visitors. They were familiarized with numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of genius person`s life and creating a wide idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, gifts presented to him by the popular political figures all over the world, photos taken with leaders of different countries, books on great leader, ideas of outstanding figures of science, culture and art on the national leader, saw with big interest photos taken with leaders of different countries. Visitors recalled with pleasure the contributions the prominent statesman gave to the development of healthcare, its material and technical base, solution of organizational issues as one of leaders of USSR government in Moscow.

Oncologists and radiologists viewed with interest photos of outstanding ophthalmologist, academician Mrs Zarifa Aliyeva with her husband Heydar Aliyev, picture `Zarifa in 12 years old` painted by Heydar Aliyev in 1942. The visitors were impressed by photos of both them with popular medical scholars of the world, as well taken in international events.

Then, visitors watched a documentary on activities and projects of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. They highly valued the wide philanthropic activity of the Foundation, led by Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, who is a doctor by specialization, particularly the valuable actions it realizes in field of medicine.

The visitors were presented a book on activity of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Chairman of Executive Committee and Executive Secretary of CIS Vladimir Rushaylo visited the Foundation together with guests.
