New school building commissioned in Sheki

Solemn opening ceremonies were held for new school buildings in Sheki city and Boyuk Dahna village of the district, September 15, Day of Knowledge.

Addressing the ceremony of opening of the 240-seat school building constructed within `New school to new Azerbaijan` program of Heydar Aliyev Foundation for secondary school 10 of Sheki city justice minister Fikret Mammadov, head of Sheki city executive power Nazim Ibrahimov, reps of the public congratulated the school`s staff on the remarkable day, expressed deep gratitude on behalf of Sheki people to President Ilham Aliyev and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP, for high attention to development of education and strengthening its material and technical base in Azerbaijan.

Then, justice minister F.Mammadov presented precious gifts to 19 graduates of secondary school 10 entering this year higher schools.

After the red ribbon symbolizing the opening of the school was cut, visitors were closely familiarized with the school. The 3-floor new education building constructed by Azeragrartikinti JSC at the yard of the school 10 covering 160 teachers and 950 pupils has 12 classrooms, shop, diner and computer rooms. The school has equipped with modern heat system.
