Event held in Bucharest on the 89th birthday of national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev

Commemorative event was held in Bucharest, Romania on the 89th birthday of national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, 10 May.


The event started in the Heydar Aliyev Alley of Tei Park, which was attended by the delegates of the Representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Romania, Romania-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, Romanian-Azerbaijani Bilateral Chamber of Industry and Trade, Romania-Azerbaijan Association of Youth and Culture, Black Sea-Caspian Sea Cooperation and Partnership International Foundation, SOCAR Romania Office, Azerbaijanis getting education and living in Romania, Turkish, Kazakh and Turkmen embassies in this country, Circle of Turkic Businessmen working in this country, Romanian, Tatar and Turkish communities.


The event started by paying tribute to the great leader to the minute of silence.


Official of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania T.Shukurov talked of the results of the brave policy Heydar Aliyev conducted to strengthen statehood in Azerbaijan, replace complicated political crisis with stability, assure dynamic socioeconomic development, strengthen the country’s positions in the region and world, build democratic and legal society in Azerbaijan and integrate into universal values. He stressed this policy is successfully and firmly continued.


Head of the Representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Romania I.Hajiyev valued Heydar Aliyev as a genius of the Azerbaijani people, noting even during his leadership in Azerbaijan in USSR the national leader did huge works for the prosperity of his native nation and motherland. 


Participants laid wreathes and flowers at the bust of Heydar Aliyev.


In the building of Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Representation in Romania, participants of the event familiarized themselves with a photo exhibition dedicated to the life and activity of Heydar Aliyev and watched a documentary about the great leader.
