A series of events are held in the Astrakhan Region devoted to the 90th jubilee of national leader Heydar Aliyev

Special actions plan has been approved by A.Jilkin, the Governor of the Region, in order to hold a series of events devoted to the 90th jubilee of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev.

According to the plan, a series of events will be held, with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, jointly with Astrakhan Regional Administration, Baku city  Narimanov District Executive Authority and All-Russian Azerbaijan Congress’s Astrakhan Section.

Competitions started at Secondary school No.11 named after Heydar Aliyev located in the city of Astrakhan on art devoted to Heydar Aliyev, an essay on the theme of “We are studying Heydar Aliyev’s heritage” and best guide of the “Russia-Azerbaijan Friendship” museum located at the school.  Holding of special lessons devoted to national leader Heydar Aliyev and a friendship subbotnik under the slogan of “Let us make our school cleaner”  are also planned at the school.

At the same time, demonstration of a documentary devoted to the life and activity of Heydar Aliyev on local TV channels of Astrakhan, holding of a friendship subbotnik in Heydar Aliyev park and setting up of an open “Wi-Fi” area named after Heydar Aliyev, a charitable action in one of the children’s homes in the city of Astrakhan under the slogan of “There are no strange children”, chess competitions among schoolchildren, as well as holding of a “round table” on the theme of “Youth is our future” at the Astrakhan State University are planned.

On May 15th, putting fresh flowers before the monument erected to the national leader in Heydar Aliyev park with participation of a delegation from Azerbaijan, members of Diaspora organizations, holding a jubilee event, and awarding winners of the abovementioned competitions by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation are planned.

The ceremony will be finalized with a concert program and fireworks.
