Construction of Baku Crystal Hall completed

Construction of Baku Crystal Hall where Eurovision Song Contest 2012 will take place has been completed and the complex has already been delivered to the show partner Brainpool, Executive Director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Elekberov said in the press conference at the Eurovision Centre, April 16.

 

He said although the weather created some challenges, Baku Crystal Hall was completed in accordance with all standards.


A.Elekberov mentioned 25.000-seat Baku Crystal Hall will be used for concerts, festivals, sports events in future. A number of innovations will be applied in the complex, a special equipment installed for the first time.


The Executive Director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation said as part of preparation for Eurovision Song Contest 2012, measures have been taken to bring special vehicles, open new flights, prepare hotels and prevent price rise, organize tourist routes.


Executive Producer of Eurovision Song Contest 2012 Adil Kerimli emphasized the huge support rendered by Heydar Aliyev Foundation to ensure the high level of the Contest. On behalf of his agency, he expressed gratitude to Mehriban Aliyeva, the Chairperson of the Contest Organizing Committee, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.


All the equipments, including 80.000 diodes, over 2500 projectors for the show have already been brought to Baku. As result of all this, a scenic design, Green Room, grandiose shows will be presented to viewers.


According to the statements, special shuttle buses will be used in order to create comfortable conditions for guests coming to Baku. Each of the 42 country delegations will be provided with two vehicles 24 hours a day, as well interesting cultural programs and tours will be organized for them.
