National leader Heydar Aliyev’s memory was revered in the Turkish city of Eskishehir
A chess tournament devoted to national leader Heydar Aliyev and a ceremony of revering his memory took place, with representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and organizational support from the Eskishehir Azerbaijanis Circle, in the Turkish city of Eskishehir.
In the chess tournament held at 19th May Ganjlik Centre, Azerbaijanis studying at universities in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa and Eskishehir took part. Awards to winners of the tournament were presented by Ramil Aghayev, a representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Representative Office in Turkey, and chairperson of Eskishehir Azerbaijanis Circle Javid Aydin.
The ceremony held at the Anadolu University in Eskishehir on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev’s death were attended by representatives of the city governship and municipality, and students and academics from Azerbaijan.
Professor of the Othman Gazi University in Eskishehir Tamilla Aliyeva delivered a speech before students, with an extensive report about Heydar Aliyev’s rich life and activity.
