An article by President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva about mugham was printed in “Irs” magazine

With joint organizational support from the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Japan and the editorial board of “Irs” magazine, another edition of the magazine was printed in the Japanese language.

An article by Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva about the Garabagh Mugham School was presented to readers in the magazine.  

Comprehensive information is given about the art of mugham, Azerbaijan’s mugham school and its eminent representatives in the article, and the unique style and traditions of the Garabagh Mugham School, an essential part of the Azerbaijani mugham art, is talked about.

Moreover, articles entitled “Garabagh – the cradle of mugham” by the magazine’s chief editor Musa Marjanly, “Crime in Khojaly: culprits of the tragedy, classification of the event based on the international law, and responsibility for the tragedy” by Tofig Musayev about  the Khojaly tragedy committed by Armenians, “Our contemporary Mahsati Ganjavi” by Rafael Huseynov, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, devoted to great Azerbaijani poetess    Mahsati Ganjavi etc. have been printed in the magazine.

Readers may also acquaint themselves with articles entitled “Azerbaijan - reaching new achievements” by Kazuyasu Isida, a well-known Japanese economist-expert, and “Travelling to Azerbaijan - the Land of Fire”   by Yokoi Hiromi, a correspondent of JIJI PRESS Information Agency.

The objective of printing the magazine is to provide the Japanese people with comprehensive information of the rich historical and cultural heritage of the people of Azerbaijan, its literature, cuisine, tourism capacity, and perspectives of development.
