Preparations for the movie project about Baku to be implemented at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation have been started

Preparations for the movie project about Baku to be implemented at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation have been started.


Shooting sites are being identified at the moment. General director of the film is Russian director Yegor Konchalovsky.


10 directors from Azerbaijan, Russia, France, UK and other countries will work on the movie. Three directors from Azerbaijan – Ilgar Safat, Samir Karimoghlu and Yaver Rzayev will be involved in the project. Each director will shoot a short film about Azerbaijan. The length of each story will be 10 minutes.


The international project will be performed in different projects and dubbed into one language, which is not known yet. The title of the film is also unknown, however it is likely to be “Baku, I Love You”, like analogical projects “Paris, I Love You”, “New York, I Love You” and “Moscow, I Love You”.


Executive Producer of the project is Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, producer is Nadir Mochanov. The project is expected to be implemented in early 2013.


The shooting of the film by Ilgar Safat will kick off 10 March, “Narimanfilm” reported.
