An event is held in Astrakhan to mark the 10th jubilee of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation
A ceremonial event was held in Astrakhan to mark the 10th jubilee of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s establishment, May 12.
A photo-exhibition reflecting the projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation during the period past in the regions of Azerbaijan, along with Baku, as well as in Astrakhan has been displayed at the State Philharmonic Society of Astrakhan.
Governor of the region Alexander Jilkin talked about the projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Astrakhan, and said the works done by the Foundation are highly appreciated all over the world.
Alexander Jilkin thanked President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and Foundation’s Vice-president Leyla Aliyeva for the care and attention shown towards the region, and joint projects implemented there. Saying that the Azerbaijani Diaspora enjoys much respect in Astrakhan, the governor brought to attention that a kindergarten is being constructed at the moment with the Foundation’s support.
Head of the Public and Political Affairs Department of the Azerbaijani President’s Administration Ali Hasanov talked about the Russia-Azerbaijan relations and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s activities.
Conveying congratulations of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s President Mehriban Aliyeva on the occasion of the victory in the Great Patriotic War to the participants of the event, representative of the Foundation Ilgar Mustafayev too talked about the projects implemented by the Foundation during the last 10 years, and touched upon the international events held by this organization. He underscored that projects of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation are welcomed by the world society.
Then a few persons were presented gifts from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on the occasion of the 9th May Victory Day and for their contribution to deepening the relations between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan.
The ceremony was continued by dance groups of Azerbaijan and Astrakhan and performances of well-known masters of art of Azerbaijan. The event was closed by fireworks organized in the park named after national leader Heydar Aliyev.
