The Greek public is waiting with great interest for the Days of Azerbaijani Culture to take place in Athens
The Greek mass media has given coverage of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture to be held in Athens with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The country’s mass media have provided comprehensive information with regard to the events to be organized in Athens, and it is stated that these Days of Culture will be an opportunity for the Greek people to get more closely acquainted with Azerbaijan.
Within the events to be held on 27-28 September, programmes will be presented aiming to popularize Azerbaijan’s historical and cultural heritage and extending the relations between the two countries.
Presentation associated with “Baku-2015” First European Games, demonstration of films reflecting the preparation works related to the European Games carried out in Baku, as well as performances of the State Symphonic Orchestra of Azerbaijan and the State Dance Ensemble will take place within the framework of the Days of Culture. A concert to take place with the joint organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Greece and Marianna V.Vardinoyannis Foundation aims to help the Support to Education Project.
An article entitled “Culture and Art Unite Greece and Azerbaijan” placed on “Egiacoumis.gr” website states that the Baku Music Academy performed with a concert programme in Athens in 2014 and, in June, at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, led by Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, the State Chamber Orchestra of Azerbaijan fascinated a big audience with its performance. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its president, having not confined to this, are intending to present other elements of the Azerbaijani culture to Greece.
It is further stated in the article that Azerbaijan has not only natural, but also rich and valuable cultural wealth, and this country’s primary product is its culture, rather than its economy.
In materials published in the Greek mass media, a charitable concert to be held in Athens within the framework of the Support to Education Project is praised, and it is underscored that such events would stimulate extension of relations between the two countries.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has implemented a number of projects and held various events in Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Greece etc. aiming to extend relations between nations, and with the objective of promoting Azerbaijan.
