An event devoted to the 92nd anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev takes place in Bucharest
A commemorative event took place, May 9, in Tay Park-Heydar Aliyev Alley in the city of Bucharest, Romania, to mark the 92nd anniversary of national leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev.
The ceremony was attended by employees of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania, representative offices of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and SOCAR in Romania, members of the Romania-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, Romania-Azerbaijan Chamber of Trade and Industry, Romania-Azerbaijan Culture and Youth Association, representatives of Turkish-Tatar Community, and Azerbaijanis residing and studying in Romania.
First wreathes were put before the bust of the national leader.
Then attendees of the event visited the Romanian Representative Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Director of the Representative Office Igbal Hajiyev talked about the life and activity of Azerbaijani people’s national leader Heydar Aliyev, his services to strengthening of the independence, building of a democratic, secular and law-governed state, and restoration of stability in our country. I.Hajiyev talked also about multilateral benevolent activity of the Foundation named after Heydar Aliyev, and the projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Representative Office during 8 years.
Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Romania Farid Abdinbeyov, Director of SOCAR’s Romanian Representative Office Hamza Karimov delivered a speech at the event.
Then guests of the event got acquainted with the exhibition arranged at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Representative Office and watched the documentary about the national leaders’ life and activity made by the Foundation.
