The Heydar Aliyev Foundation is awarded a “Diploma of Perfection” for its activity in Romania

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation was awarded a “Diploma of Perfection” for its high-level activity in Romania.

 

Awarded by the Romanian National Committee for Protection of the Disabled under the Romanian Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Insurance and Protection of the Old, the diploma was presented to the Foundation in Bucharest, at an event devoted to 1st June - the International Day for Protection of Children, held with organizational support of the Queen Elisabeth Lycée and support from the Foundation.   

 

Held in the Queen Elizabeth Lycée where blind and visually disabled children study, the event was attended by employees of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania, management of the Bucharest Schools Inspectorate, employees of the Romanian Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Insurance and Protection of the Old, and disabled pupils and their parents.

 

President of the Romanian National Committee for Protection of the Disabled Michaela Ungureanu highly appreciated the humanitarian and charitable activity of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Romania. She said the works carried out by the Foundation with the disabled, its support to the needy are the manifestation of friendly relations between the two states and peoples.

 

Michaela Ungureanu said the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the National Committee for Protection of the Disabled will implement a series of projects in future, and thanked President of the Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva for the charitable activity.

 

Delivering a speech at the event, director of the Romanian Representative Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Igbal Hajiyev thanked for the award and informed of the 8-yesr activity of the Foundation in Romania. He said the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will work in close cooperation with government and non-government organizations specialized in protection of the disabled in Romania. 

 

The event continued by an artistic programme prepared by pupils of the Lycée. 

 

At the end of the event, blind and visually disabled pupils were presented computers working with a special voice programme - gifts from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
