Winners of the republican start-up tours “From Idea to Business” are chosen

The finals of the start-up tours, held in the framework of the project “From Idea to Business” launched in April this year, took place.

 

State officials, heads of higher schools, start-up activists and students attended the final stage, held in the Heydar Aliyev Centre within the framework of the Innovation Week.

 

First, the guests visited the “InnoExpo” Exhibition in the foyer of the Heydar Aliyev Centre, where innovative products and services created by the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies were demonstrated, then becoming acquainted with stamps and souvenirs belonging the "Azerbmarka" LTD.

 

Thereafter, the finals of the start-up tour started. First, a video footage related to the start-up marathon, covering 8 regions, was shown.

 

Minister of Transport, Communication and High Technologies Ramin Guluzadeh addressed the event.

 

Continuing the event, 15 finalists, after presenting in the course of three minutes their projects before the jury in the specified succession, answered questions put to them.

 

After the presentation, all the teams were awarded with certificates for their active participation in the start-up tours.

 

“Gonex”, (1st place), “ Smart Reactor” (2nd place) and “Noahland” (3rd place) projects became winners of the tour on the republic, according to the jury’s decision.

 

A unique platform to gain experience, working on online and real projects on information technologies, “Conex” is a project by students of the Baku Engineering University.

 

Representing the city of Sumgait, the project “Smart Reactor” aims at getting alternative energy from wastes.

 

Representing Nakhchivan city, the project “Noahland” serves bringing extreme sports types and camps together in a single portal.

 

Winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were rewarded with 10 thousand, 5 thousand and 2 thousand 5 hundred Manats, respectively.

 

Start-up tours in the framework of the project “From Idea to Business” are expected to continue in the following years.
