Mega-show called “Jyrtdan in the Kingdom of Fairy Tales” is arranged following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva

A family mega-show called “Jyrtdan in the Kingdom of Fairy Tales” was arranged in the Baku Congress Centre, following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.

Vice-president of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the event.

A press-conference took place before the mega-show, arranged for the first time. Director of the Congress Centre Ramin Gazizadeh, director of the event Ilham Gasymov, actor playing the role of Jyrtdan Ilham Suleymanly and deputy director of the Thalassemia Centre for scientific affairs Ramin Bayramly answered questions of correspondents.

Then, 40 artists entertained children on the scene by various games. In general, 80 actors and dancers participated in the show.

According to the show’s plotline, parents leave Jyrtdan at home with his brother. In a while, Jyrtdan loses his brother and starts looking for him. Taking victory over the dark forces by his benevolence, Jyrtdan makes a mentionable and bright impression on the spectators. Stars falling from the clouds, bright fairies flying into the sky together with Jyrtdan take the audience to a magic world. At the end of the show, Jyrtdan reunites with his brother and the New Year, bewitched by the black forces, is returned back with the help of Melikmammad and the Dragon.

Some 300 bright costumes and up to 120 various toys were used in the show. The show was interesting not only for children, but also for the elderly. In short, unmatched, colourful and memorable, the show will give pleasure to spectators, and people would experience great delight. The show will continue until January 6 and, in total, 17 shows will take place. The income received from this charitable show will be donated to the Thalassemia Centre.

This initiative once more proves that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, considering values of humanism and benevolence as the primary criteria in their activities, have been making significant contribution to educating children in the national spirit, at the same time, instilling in them the spirit of respecting universal values.

The project demonstrates that the support provided by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation towards rehabilitating and improving health conditions of people in need of special care, including children, is of consistent nature.
