Azerbaijan’s First Vice-president, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva visits the Child Psychoneurological Centre in Baku

On February 11, Azerbaijan’s First Vice-president, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Child Psychoneurological Centre in Narimanov district of Baku. 

 

Mehriban Aliyeva, who had repeatedly paid visits to this institution, took close interest in the medical rehabilitation and education processes, setting tasks on the solution of existing problems. Today too, Mehriban Aliyeva inquired about the conditions created for children living and being treated, and mastering special education here.

 

It was informed that 103 people - from infancy to mature ages - are served at the moment in the institution. All necessary conditions have been secured here for children’s living, treatment, and mastering special education. At this medical institution, constructed with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in 2009, rooms for a psychologist, aromatherapy, ophthalmologist, psychoneurologist, neuropathologist, speech therapist, paediatrician, a physician for ear, nose and throat, ultrasonic examination, and physical therapy are functioning. Their treatment is carried out in a comprehensive manner, i.e. including physician’s and pedagogical treatment. State-of-the-art programmes being applied throughout the world are used in this centre. Children with restricted health condition are provided high-level medical and rehabilitation services, using most advanced medical and diagnostic devices, rehabilitation equipment. All conditions have been secured in the centre to this end. Professional medical, pedagogical and technical staff is engaged in the treatment and education of the children.

 

Mehriban Aliyeva talked with children.

 

Drawing a picture with a nine-year-old Omar, Mehriban Aliyeva said he was a skilful boy. She took interest in the methods used during treatments, observing procedures applied for children’s treatment. Mehriban Aliyeva listened also to the wishes and dreams of six-year-old Nasimi, a boy in need of special care, and answered his questions through a game. Treatment of Abdulla, another patient of the medical institution, is performed by sending impulses into his brain, through listening filtrated music, with the use of special earphones.  

 

Taking interest in this method of treatment, Mehriban Aliyeva was informed that one of the novelties applied in the current year in this treatment is the use of filtrated classical Azerbaijani music.

 

Children in need of special care talked with Mehriban Aliyeva and demonstrated their skills.

 

Children talked about their favourite games and songs they love to sing.

 

Mehriban Aliyeva was informed of the assembly hall constructed in the backyard of the institution.

 

Children being treated and educated in the centre were presented gifts by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

Mehriban Aliyeva wished successes to the medical institution.
