Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visits boarding schools No.4 and No.3 of the capital

On June 19, Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visited Republican Special Boarding School No.4 in Shuvalan settlement of Baku, designed for children with restricted health condition and those deprived of parental protection, and Republican Special Boarding School No.3 for children with restricted health condition in Nizami district.

 

Arriving first at Republican Special Boarding School No.4 in Shuvalan settlement for children with restricted health condition and those deprived of parental protection, Leyla Aliyeva met here with children, and became familiarized with the conditions created here.

 

According to the information given, this boarding school, having been in operation since 1976, was reconstructed in 2015 in the framework of the “Development of children’s homes and boarding schools” Programme of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Over 100 children are treated here at the moment. The Rehabilitation and Development Centre has been functioning under the school for preschool children.

 

Leyla Aliyeva talked with children, saw their handicrafts, and took interest in the circles functioning there.

 

Inhabitants of the boarding school demonstrated their skills to Leyla Aliyeva.

 

Gifts from the Heydar Aliyeva Foundation were presented to the establishment.

Thereafter, Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva arrived at Republican Special Boarding School No.3 for children with restricted health condition in Nizami district.

 

It was informed that this boarding school, having been in operation since early 1960s, was designed for children with defective hearing capacity. 226 out of 649 children have been residing at this boarding school. With Azerbaijani and Russian sections, the boarding school has 87 classes. Implant classes have been functioning at the boarding school for already 4 years. After implanting operations, children in these classes are taught in accordance with a special programme. At this education institution, children may engage themselves in painting, weaving, working with beads, carpet-making, and sports, attending relevant circles. Sportsmen and artists are among the graduators of the boarding school.

 

This school too was presented gifts from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
